Pastor Robert “Bob” Jones

Pastor Bob grew up in upstate New York. He completed his undergraduate studies at George Washington University in Washington, DC and later earned a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree at Wesley Theological Seminary.   

After serving various appointments in the Virginia Conference for 28 years, Pastor Bob heard and followed God’s call to the last frontier and the United Methodist Alaska Conference and has served as the FUMC pastor since the summer of 2017.

Pastor Bob enjoys helping others discover their gifts and talents as they worship and serve Christ. He enjoys hearing others as they share personal faith journeys and thoughts on where they see God leading the community and congregation of the FUMC community.

Together as a church, we face the challenges of being Christ’s disciples in meeting the demands and needs of today, and finding hope for tomorrow.
