  • Services begin at 9:00 AM (traditional) and 11:00 AM (contemporary) each Sunday at our main location at 915 Second Avenue in Fairbanks. Services last approximately one hour. We start with a time of worship followed by a message from our preaching team. Messages seek to lead people toward a meaningful, transforming encounter with Jesus through His Word.

    We also regularly celebrate the sacraments of Holy Communion and baptism, and children’s programming is offered during weekend services.

  • We encourage you to join us a few minutes before the service to gather with other attenders.

    If you're a first-time attender, please let a church staff member know. They can point you in the right direction and give you information.

    If you have children with you, they are welcome in the service, or we also have a children’s ministry program.

  • Absolutely! Kids are always welcome in our services! We also have a children’s ministry program with games, music, and age-appropriate lessons. Our staff can help you check in on your first visit and find the right room for your child.

  • The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted our communities, businesses, schools and churches across Alaska. Here at FUMC, our church building is currently open for church business and ALL worship, mission and education activities.

    Check our website and Facebook page frequently for the most current schedules. Our intention is to provide meaningful worship opportunities while also following the latest CDC guidelines and best practices to mitigate COVID-19 risks for our church family and visitors.

  • Church Staff meetings, 2nd Monday of each month, 6 p.m. in the Lounge

  • Finance Committee meetings, 4th Monday of each month, 5:00 p.m. in the Lounge

  • Church Council meetings, 4th Monday of each month, 7 p.m. in Vesper Hall

  • Praise Band Plus, Tuesdays, 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary (solo/ensemble practice and recording)

  • Chancel Choir, Wednesdays, 5:30-7 p.m. in the sanctuary (practice sessions and recording)

  • Praise Band, Thursdays, 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the sanctuary (full band practice and recording)

  • Ruth Circle meetings, 1st Friday of each month, 10 a.m. in the Lounge
